H3110;BEYOND

“It’s time you save yourself.”

H3110;BEYOND is a pastoral-gothic-science-fiction-coming of age-epic following the perspectives of four families during the aftermath of The Roswell Incident, in which the bioengineering of supernatural terrestrial organisms and military aircraft resulted in the entirety of the American west coast being nuked into a crater.

Originally written and illustrated as a graphic novel, this story transformed into a modern day gothic narrative veiled as a science fiction epic that focused on the interpersonal relationships of a generation of graduating seniors set in Arlene-Eternity, Michigan (a real but made up place), off the cliffs of the New Western Coast where the ocean is now fed into the Great Lakes.

The son of a scientist goes missing, a cipher is left behind, a town scatters in shock, a teenager is broken up with and he demands his best friend to find out why, an orphan who is in love with her classmate is manipulated into believing that her biological parents are living nearby, a mother decides that she must save her son and herself from the life she built for them, a family of fisherman all live to be one hundred years old, a girl begins to see signs of her mother speaking to her from the afterlife, a species of flying cephalopod have began abducting people, a captain loses his son to the lure of a magnificent light signaling to them from the bottom of the ocean, and a pitbull named Baby survives on memories and hope at a crash site nowhere close to home - Jim Morrison never existed and a man named Glenn Danzig is the King. This is how the human number begins.

“For a moment, time seemed to have slowed down even though it would always move without her.” - Chapter 1A, Baby
